Below is a pdf version of our board meeting minutes that are approved for publishing from our May meeting. Our next meeting will be July 9th at 6:30 pm. You are always welcome to join us.
We are looking for 3 residents to serve on the CVHC (Covenant Violation Hearing Committee). To clarify the duties of this important role, here’s a further explanation of how the process works:
1). A resident informs the board of a violation.
2). The board sends a violation notice to the resident if they are, in fact, out of compliance.
3). The homeowner has 14 days to correct the violation, or receive a fine.
4). If the homeowner is unwilling (or unable) to make the correction, they can request a formal hearing to be presented to the CVHC which is made up of three unbiased residents in the community who are not affiliated with the board.
5). At this time, the board will contact the 3 person CVHC, who will gather, be presented with the evidence, and make a determination by voting whether to uphold the violation/fee, or make other recommendations to the board.
NOTE: This committee only meets when a decision for a violation must be made (and a hearing is requested). This will not be a time-consuming position, but it is a very important role. If you believe you can help our community by offering your unbiased opinion, please send an email to lakesideatbaymeadows@gmail.com.
Thank you for your time and interest!
